Have your students create an art exhibit, en français of course, in your classroom. These 8 self-contained, reproducible instructional units use famous French artists and their works as a high-interest basis for language acquisition. Text includes an introduction to Impressionism, information on each painter, his paintings, and his contribution to the movement. Units are non-sequential and may be used in second year and above. Volume I artistes covered are: Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Seurat, Toulouse-Latrec and Utrillo.
Volume II extends the concept into French modern art: Caillebotte, Cezanne, Matisse, Modigliani, Picasso, Pissarro, Rodin, Sisley and Van Gogh.
