Welcome to Mexico! In this program, students will tour Mexico City and take in some of the capital's most famous sites: the Zocalo, Templo Mayor, the Castillo de Chapultepec and the Basilica de Guadalupe, among others. Students will witness an ancient Aztec dance and watch the high-flying antics of the voladores. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Mexico, including how Mexico City was once Tenochtitlan, the Aztec capital! Students will navigate the canals leading to the floating gardens of Xochimilco in a trajinera. And it just wouldn't be a trip to Mexico without listening to a mariachi band play "La Cucaracha." °Ole! Students will learn about the country's history, political system, currency, language, religion and climate, as well as visit a few of the most famous sites and sample delicious foods.They’ll also learn about each country's unique contribution to our global village called Earth. This series is perfect for elementary and middle school students.
