Welcome to Spain! In this program, students will tour the capital city of Madrid and visit some of its famous sites, such as the Wax Museum of Madrid and the Mercado de San Miguel, a covered market filled with fresh produce and seafood. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Spain, including how the different regions of Spain have their own governments and sometimes their own languages! And it just wouldn't be a trip to Spain without sitting down in a tapas bar -- a restaurant that serves a variety of delicious foods for sharing. Students will learn about the country's history, political system, currency, language, religion and climate, as well as visit a few of the most famous sites and sample delicious foods.They’ll also learn about each country's unique contribution to our global village called Earth. This series is perfect for elementary and middle school students.
