Welcome to Venezuela! In this program, students begin their journey in the rural Barlovento region, where they will see how chocolate is made from freshly picked cacao beans. Then, it's off to the capital city of Caracas for a walk through Bolivar Plaza and a trip to the zoo. Throughout the program, students will learn some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of Venezuela, including the country's place as one the world's leading oil producers. After browsing the outdoor shops of El Hatillo, students will take a cable car up Mount Vila and trek over to the rustic village of Galipan. Students will learn about the country's history, political system, currency, language, religion and climate, as well as visit a few of the most famous sites and sample delicious foods.They’ll also learn about each country's unique contribution to our global village called Earth. This series is perfect for elementary and middle school students.
