Program synopsis:
Mariaelena is seven years old and lives on a farm in the mountains of Guatemala with her parents, her brother and sister and her grandmother. Watch how they roast coffee, shell macadamia nuts and milk cows. Learn how the Mayans kept up the fertility of the land. See how mornings start sunny and rain comes predictably in the afternoon, and listen to the sound of her brother and father playing the marimba.
Nine-year-old Jorge lives in the city of San Marcos, Guatemala with his twin brother and his 8-year-old nephew as well as his parents. See how his dad, who is a doctor, finds a kidney stone using an ultrasound test. See how the boys' band is coming along and share in the Family Day festival at their school.
