Welcome to France! In this program, students will travel to the capital city of Paris to see some of the city's most famous sites: the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, the Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris and the Bastille. Throughout the program, students will learn about some of the cultural traditions, history, climate and politics of France, in addition to some of the things that France is known for -- like cheese, wine and cafes. Before the journey ends, students will hike through the lush countryside, wander the beautiful gardens of Ch‚teau de Breteuil, visit the elegant shops on the Avenue Montaigne and shop at a boulangerie for a baguette. Bon voyage! Hold onto your book bags and prepare to take a whirlwind trip to some French-speaking countries of the world! Students will quickly relate to the young tour guide who will provide them with a quick snapshot regarding the geography of each country. They will learn about the country's history, political system, currency, language, religion and climate, as well as visit a few of the most famous sites and sample delicious foods.
