See how the Day of the Dead is celebrated in the city of Tlaxcala in Mexico. The program follows a student as he gathers material to write a report for school. Antonio goes to the mercado popular to see what people are buying for the celebration, a Casa de Cultura to see how cultural traditions are being preserved and to private homes to see the ofrendas. In the local cemetery, he sees families cleaning and decorating the graves, and spends an evening visiting ofrendas. Each program includes a teacher packet with a glossary of terms and teaching ideas. Available in two forms: Volume 1 has a brief intro to the holiday and then the story runs once dubbed in English and a second time in present tense Spanish.
