Daniela, an American college student, is studying for a year at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She wants to become a high school Spanish teacher. Little does she know what a chance encounter with a handsome young man in Madrid would turn into a romantic adventure. Her boyfriend, Javier, is a young bullfighter who has achieved fame as one of the top toreros in Spain. Their romance takes them through the city and streets of Madrid. After a breakup, Daniela goes back to St. Louis and Javier soon tries to find her. There are two endings to the book. Students pick the ending they prefer! The book is a short novel with a Spanish-English dictionary in the back. Written entirely in the present tense and is perfect for level one students.
