This engaging reader uses emails, dialogs, letters, and narratives to reinforce grammatical themes. Each individual reading is a lesson which reinforces a particular grammatical theme such as the present tense, preterite tense, direct and indirect object pronouns, commands,
etc. The text is based on a vocabulary of approximately 400 words and 100 of the most commonly used regular and irregular verbs. These class period length lessons use meaningful and believable dialogs, correspondences and narratives about young Hispanic and American
youths to build fluency and cognitive skills. The most important point of each lesson is that it is EASY without being boring. This TPR based reader is intended to be used orally in class, using cognates and repetition to boost student confidence and competence levels. The same 100 verbs continually reappear in every reading lesson in different tenses and structures. Many lessons also have a vocabulary theme, such as travel, shopping, public transportation,
Reproducible follow up questions accompany each lesson.
